Gerry MacMillan

Middleton-born Gerry MacMillan is one of Nova Scotia’s most accomplished golfers, with a career spanning nearly 35 years. A champion at every level of provincial play—juvenile, junior, amateur, and mid-amateur—Gerry built a legacy of excellence that few have matched. From his first Nova Scotia Juvenile Championship in 1968 to titles in the 2020s, he has won provincial championships in every decade.

He captured an unprecedented seven Nova Scotia Amateur Championships (1976, 1977, 1983, 1992, 1995, 1997, 1998) and was runner-up six times. Representing the province, Gerry earned 35 Nova Scotia Golf Team appearances, including 11 Willingdon Cup competitions and nine Mid-Amateur Teams. In 1999, he helped lead Nova Scotia to its first-ever Canadian team championship, finishing third individually.

Beyond competition, Gerry served as superintendent of Paragon Golf & Country Club in Kingston for 18 years, leaving a lasting impact on the sport both on and off the course. His record of success and his lifelong dedication make him one of Nova Scotia’s most celebrated golfers.
